1869 - Turtleside Tranquility: Premium Oceanfront

We have been coming to Amelia island for over 20 yrs and this is the 1st time we stayed at this oceanfront penthouse. The highlight was definitely the balcony, it’s spacious, private, and offers incredible views of the ocean. We spent a lot of time out there, whether it was morning coffee, watching the sunrise, or just listening to the waves at night. There is also a small balcony facing the west where you can view incredible sunsets.Inside, the condo felt open and comfortable, with plenty of space to relax. Large windows and sliding doors let in tons of natural light and kept the ocean view front and center even when indoors. The location couldn’t be better—short walk to the water with easy beach access, which made it simple to go back and forth throughout the day. The fabulous pool was also steps from our condo with plenty of lounge chairs.One minor thing, the condo does not provide pool or beach towels nor do they provide beach chairs but this did not take away from the overall positive experience.Communication was great with our host, she called us the night we checked in to make sure everything went smoothly and to ask if we needed any thing else.We’ll definitely come back.

We enjoyed another stay in Amelia Island but left wanting more from the condo. Most of this is on me as the description and pictures are accurate. One of the things I overlooked when booking were the lack of beach towels and chairs for our trips to the ocean. After staying in several different properties within the Omni previously, this was the first that didn't provide beach accessories. Away from that, the unit was fairly dated in both the structure and overall furnishings. Again though, in hindsight this was all very much documented in the photos. Check-in was a breeze and I felt as though if I ever needed anything help was just a text away.

Beach Heaven! Just Perfect!
We had a great time at this condo. We have stayed in many others and this was the best. The views are outstanding from every room. The condo is spacious, very clean, and well stocked with all you need, right on the beach and in a short walking distance to the pool. We highly recommended it and will definitely come back.

3 Day Getaway
To my management team for a 3 day offsite. Condo was as displayed in the listing photo's, very nice decorated and beautiful views. The welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch. The 1 thing we missed were beach chairs. We went to the beach for an hour or so each day. Not really worth renting chairs for.

Beautiful view!
This condo is very clean and has all the items you could possibly need! The only negative is the shower in the master bath.., it is very small and dark. Everything else about the master and bath is excellent! The other two rooms are nice and roomy! Also the owner is VERY responsive! We will definitely stay again!!

Great condo
We loved staying at this condo. It has such a wonderful set up with all bedrooms on the top floor (and each bedroom with its own bathroom!). The views were incredible and we enjoyed breakfast on the patio. The kitchen was well appointed with nearly any tool you could possibly need. Next time we come to Amelia Island, we’ll be sure to stay here again!

October beach getaway
We had a great trip. The property was super clean. Nicely furnished and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. The location is perfect and as a result beach is not over crowded. Grocery store is nearby. Laily was super helpful and quick to respond to questions. We will be back!!!

Stunning ocean view
Beautiful waterfront views of ocean and property. Easy access to beach and convenient elevator access. Pool was closed due to pump issue for 5+ days of our stay, reopened on day 6. We were given access to another on a farther property as alternative, but had to drive to get there. Unit could use a little update in way of paint, but overall very nice.

Dear Greta, it sounds like you had a mixed experience during your stay. The beautiful ocean views and easy access to the beach were significant positives, and the convenience of the elevator adds to the overall accessibility of the property. On the downside, the closure of the pool due to maintenance issues could be frustrating, especially if it was one of the amenities you were looking forward to. Believe me we felt the frustration and tried hard to resolve the issue, and sorry that you had only one day to enjoy the pool. As far the unit can benefit from some enhancements, I like to let you know that contractor is going to start on December 28 remodeling and the condo nicely!! You absolutely cannot beat the views at this place. The front & back decks offer completely different views & both are stunning! There are both covered & uncovered patios so you can choose to soak in the sun or stay in the shade! Very spacious place & we highly enjoyed our stay. Bar stools were extremely comfortable. Just a few things to be aware of. There is no food or drink service at the pools or ocean here, so you will need to take your own small cooler with you or go back to the room when you get hungry or thirsty. This is a very laid back and quiet area. So if you like that this is your place! This place does state it is pet friendly, but be aware the owners do bring their cats with them when they stay which we weren’t aware of until leaving… so if you have severe allergies to cats like I do it could be a little bit of an issue but overall awesome place and if it wasn’t for the cats being brought in and my allergies….we would definitely rent this place again!

Amelia's Place is thoughtful and clean. Thoughtful to the visitor's needs. The rooms and living areas are comfortable and stylish. The TV remote is user friendly (even I can turn it on!). Kitchen is equipped with modern appliances. Climate control, outlets, etc. are also well placed and functioning. Main patio is large enough to have a meal. Bedroom patios are cozy for that first cup of coffee or that last glass of wine ;) The property itself has SO much to offer that you don't need to leave (we rent a golf cart at Amelia Wheels and never move the car). The beach is amazing, as well as the pool with easy access to both. If this is your first time at Amelia Island Plantation, it surely will not be your last. Laily & Jolie do an outstanding job and are always a phone call (or text) away. Thanks ladies, we really do appreciate YOU!

Wonderful property
This condo was perfect for the groomsmen in our wedding party. The ocean view is fantastic and having a private bath for each bedroom and a half bath downstairs makes this the ideal rental.

The condo was amazing. Climate control was spot on; beds comfortable; linens & towels clean and fresh; TVs easy to use and furniture comfortable. Kitchen appliances and washer/dryer were clean and easy to use. Condo itself very quiet (no neighbor noise). Host is very thoughtful of guests needs. Views were outstanding. We can't wait to book again!

Great place, had really fun time. Perfect location steps from huge private pool and beach dune walkover (with amazing views of it all from penthouse balconies and large windows). Very clean, well appointed and plenty of room for family of 5. Ghazaleh was excellent, very responsive host.

Tranquility at its finest
The condo - in a word - perfect. The breakdown- All bedrooms upstairs. But allows for privacy. Great views to ocean from living/dining area and primary Bedroom. Two guest rooms on marsh side with great view and balcony off one guest room. Every room has a full bath. 1/2 bath down in living area. Master with its own balcony and balcony off living area. Little older and master shower is small but adequate. Service - the condo is very clean. No sand anywhere. Could walk around with bare feet and no sand. Amazing. 10 stars for that. Rented through VRBO with Amelia prime. They were so easy to work with. Text and calls easy. I messed up the code to get in the condo and they fix instantly. Amenities - bath towels great quality and soft. Not all worn and scratchy … after being in sun it’s added touch. They had chocolates and wine waiting. Pool very nice and close. Secure feeling with manned gated community. Walking trails under the live oaks were marvelous. Shopping, restaurants and hotel close. Need to bring your own beach stuff but I prefer. Definitely bring a wagon. Restaurants- lagniappe and wicked Bao were our favorites and Pogo is great also. Marché Burette was our spot for early breakfast. Highly recommend this location and host!!!! We can’t say enough good stuff. It’s in Turtle Dune Villa. Recommend this one or sea dune villas for quiet beach and yet all the benefits and easy access to beach.
