Amelia Island's Scenic Cycling Trails: The island offers several designated paths perfect for cycling:

Here is your CYCLING MAP that showcases the entire trail network that makes Amelia Island a cyclist's dream. 

A1A Scenic Trail / East Coast Greenway:

A 6.2-mile paved coastal path parallel to Highway A1A, connecting Peters Point Beachfront Park and Amelia Island State Park. Offers options to explore maritime forests, marshes, and beaches or connect south to the Timucuan Trail.

American Beach and Greenway Loop:

A journey through history and nature starting at Burney Park in historic American Beach, looping along roads (bike lanes/sidewalks available) and incorporating the natural dirt trails of Egan's Creek Greenway for wildlife viewing.

Chamber of Commerce to Peters Point Path:

A convenient ride starting near the Chamber of Commerce (Gateway Blvd.) following bike lanes along Amelia Island Parkway and A1A to Peters Point Beachfront Park.

Fort Clinch State Park Trails:

Explore scenic paved roads and shaded dirt paths within the park (entry fee required). Shared with vehicles, the trail leads to stunning St. Mary's River views and glimpses of Cumberland Island. (See Parks section for more on Fort Clinch).

Island Coastline Ride / East Coast Greenway:

A longer (13.7-mile) route exploring diverse neighborhoods, running from the Nassau Sound Bridge (South A1A) north to the Fernandina Beach Marina.

School Loop:

A shorter (2.6-mile) neighborhood ride starting near Seaside Park/Slider's Restaurant, heading west on Sadler Rd., then north on Citrona Dr. past the middle and high schools towards Atlantic Ave.

Egan's Creek Greenway Trail:

Explore over 300 acres of protected nature preserve via a network of dirt trails perfect for walking or off-road biking. Watch for wildlife like alligators and birds, enjoy interpretive displays, and access via four entrances.
